Easter

So, it was Easter!

My husband is deployed so I have to FORCE myself to even acknowledge the Holiday.
I mean, I LOVE easter, the reasoning behind it is the key ingredient for my life as a follower of God.
Anyhow, we started off the day in a rush as usual.  I had worship practice and had to dress everyone for the day.  I woke up late (of coarse), and so I was on edge.
With about 15 min. to get to the church I rush everyone into the van to get on our way.  About half way there Gabby asks,"Mommy, were we allowed to touch those baskets?"
It was then I realized I had not even thought about the gifts I had gotten them.
Although I was proud they didn't bother something they didn't ask about, I felt kind of bad.
Who starts Easter morning with no basket?
We have church, the message GREAT!  A little unusual but insightful.
Afterwards, the church held an Easter egg hunt.  It was sunny and cold outside.  THey had a roped off area for the toddlers and the rest of the field was prepped and ready for the rest of the kids.
TIme came and you see a rush of children fill the empty spaces of the green field.
Aiden was a little confused at first, picking up the eggs and tossing them.  I showed him how it was done and he continued on to find the GOLDEN EGG!  Enclosed inside was a dollar.  Yes, I know A_M_A_Z_I_N_G!
The girls had a limit, 25 eggs.  What 4 year old is really going to concentrate and count how many eggs they find?  Not mine.  She was too excited about the candy inside.
Fun times.
After watching our new movie, Tales of Desperaux, we went to a friends house for dinner.
A very nice day.  I wish Jeff was here.
So, until next time.
